Working
closely with
your teams

PRA assists private sponsors and lenders on each phase of renewable energy and infrastructure projects: design, bidding strategy, construction, equity and/or debt financing, commissioning, operation, asset sales.

PRA has well-recognised experience in “market-firsts”, be it technical, sector (wind, solar, hydropower, infrastructure) or country, where clients expect their lawyer to design bespoke solutions for their projects, working closely with in-house teams and external advisers.

PRA’s model is to make available to its clients more than 20 years of experience working in large international law firms, bringing the methodology and expertise of large firm practice while working as closely as possible with internal client teams and the co-stakeholders in the project. PRA thereby ensures that communication between team members is fluid, legal budgets are met, strategic objectives are well understood and shared.

Transforming legal functions

PRA will assist you in limiting or reducing internal and external legal costs by working efficiently with in-house teams upstream, defining reasonable and reliable budgets, understanding the business model of international law firms and identifying areas for optimisation and creation of value to the client.

In-house legal functions are expected to meet the expectations of the commercial teams, by understanding their strategic goals and using tools at the forefront of technology to ensure that they can meet deadlines and budgets and ensure consistency across their corporate structure.

Legal has become a key tool in assessing and managing risk, and pricing strategy. Transformation of in-house legal functions can lead to a more cost-effective organisation, which can be seen by commercial, financial and technical teams as a strategic partner at each stage of the lifecycle of a project.

Training

PRA provides workplace training – for legal, technical and commercial teams – on a variety of topics in French and English law including:

  • development and project finance,
  • concession agreements,
  • power purchase agreements,
  • finance documentation,
  • OHADA law, and
  • managing legal costs.

PRA can also lead workshops to develop in-house legal materials with the cooperation of all in-house teams.

Training can last as little as two hours or as long as one week. It is always tailored to the needs of our client.
